Stratature Acquisition Announcement

It's finally announced! The word went out today to our partner community @ 1pm PST:

Today, Microsoft announced the acquisition of Stratature, a privately held company based in Alpharetta, Georgia, and a leading provider of master data management (MDM) software.  This announcement builds on the relationship Microsoft and Stratature have already established, and will accelerate Microsoft’s delivery of technology in the MDM market; it represents the culmination of a company-wide effort across the Microsoft SQL Server, Business Intelligence and Microsoft Office SharePoint technology groups to deliver on a unified Master Data Management solution.

Stratature is recognized as a leader in the Master Data Management market, and Microsoft values their experience, the products they have created and the services they provide.  With Stratature, Microsoft can now offer increased MDM capabilities as an integral part of Microsoft Office System applications and servers.

In the meantime however, if you have any questions or if you would like to speak to a Microsoft spokesperson about this acquisition please contact Joey Fitts (joeyf@microsoft.com).
